May Mobility is looking for a functional safety engineer with demonstrated experience working on software and hardware for safety-critical systems to expand our team as we continue fleet development and testing. Specifically, the functional safety engineer will have the following responsibilities:
A qualified candidate will a background in software, firmware, and/or hardware development skills for complex safety-critical systems, with multiple years experience applying ISO 26262 standards and conducting FMEA in the automotive domain (preferably ADAS or autonomous systems, but also including electrification and other safety-critical systems). This position requires an eye for detail, as well as the ability to work individually and in teams, and superb written communication skills. An ideal applicant will have a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, and 5+ years industry experience working with automotive safety-critical systems.
