Launched in 2017 with a strong team of experienced roboticists and software engineers with decades of experience fielding autonomous systems in the wild, May Mobility is looking to expand its team with systems engineers with demonstrated experience working software and hardware for safety-critical systems.
May Mobility is looking for a Field Autonomy Engineer for hands-on support of vehicle fleet pilots and deployments. Specifically, the FAE will perform the following tasks:
A qualified candidate will be comfortable operating in a Linux environment, including familiarity with common Linux command line utilities. Excellent oral and written communications skills are critical, as the role requires both technical communication with engineering teams and broader outreach to customers and the general public. Significant travel is required (>50%). The candidate must be comfortable leading a team of technicians to prepare and maintain a vehicle fleet in the field with minimal interaction from the development team. An ideal applicant will have a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. The role requires detailed understanding of the capabilities of the autonomous system for scouting, maintenance, and customer interaction, so prior experience with autonomous vehicles a plus. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
