Electro-mechanical Field Technician - Self-Driving Vehicles

May Mobility is entering an exciting phase of growth and our team is expanding quickly. We are looking for an autonomous vehicle technician to help service our fleet. This role will report directly to the Site Manager and will be responsible for modifying and repairing our autonomous vehicle fleets in Columbus, OH.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform repair on in-vehicle systems and environmental infrastructure units
  • Track and ensure vehicle up-time by fixing, replacing, repairing components
  • Create and document processes to facilitate knowledge transfer to other in-field technicians and operators
  • Maintain vehicles in the field, including sensor calibration, mechanical maintenance, and software/firmware upgrades
  • Document and resolve issues encountered in the field

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience with electrical and mechanical systems - ideally working on various types of vehicles, sensors, or robotic systems
  • Previous experience with electronics and wiring
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and ability to communicate effectively in technical environments
  • Ability to climb a ladder up to 10 feet
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Linux command line environments
  • Knowledge of robotic sensors
  • Previous experience at a startup
  • CDL and/or experience hauling medium-sized trailer
